Today’s face: Tiffany, inspired by Sktchy. I have CRPS, or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, in my right foot, which has now spread up my right leg and is mirrored in my left leg. I’ve had it for around 9 months now and It seems to be spreading quite rapidly at the moment. At 4am this morning it was in my knees. One of the worst symptoms is allodynia, or extreme sensitivity to touch, which means that I can’t touch the bed with them because to do so is extraordinarily painful. It’s hard to sleep with nothing from your thighs down touching the bed. What’s the solution? Get up and paint the frustration out. Art therapy is the best therapy.
Drawn in a Fabriano Venezia sketchbook with a Palomino Blackwing 602 pencil and painted with Greenleaf and Blueberry and Old Holland watercolours.
