Skylar’s Superman

Today’s face: Skylar’s Superman, inspired by Sktchy. This is a commission I drew for a Sktchy client, who asked me to turn her friend/ boyfriend/partner (I don’t know?) into Superman. It was super fun to do.

Drawn in a Moleskine sketchbook with a Micron pen and Copic markers.

Merve

Today’s face: Merve, inspired by Sktchy. Sometimes when I’ve got a drawing challenge on my mind I’m instinctively drawn to images that are pretty much the exact opposite of the challenge. It’s the rebel in me. So this is my initial response to this week’s OSS WAX challenge, the theme for which is obscured. I’ll do a proper challenge portrait over the weekend but today this is what I needed to draw.

Aiden

Today’s face: Aiden, inspired by Sktchy and the Old School Sktchy Facebook group’s WAXNose challenge.

Drawn in a Fabriano watercolour sketchbook with Micron pen, painted with Zecchi Toscana watercolours and finished with Prismacolor coloured pencils.

Megan

Today’s face: Megan, inspired by Sktchy. I had fun turning a photo of Megan posing in front of some street art of wings into a portrait of Megan the angel.

Drawn in a Moleskine sketchbook with a Micron pen and Copic markers and finished digitally on an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil using the Procreate app.
